Songs of Sickness/Relief

Haven't been posting too much this year, partly because I haven't really heard anything too exciting recently. I actually intend to follow up on that thought soon, but haven't found the energy to do it because I'm fucking sick again. But enough about me. My doctor gave me a good prescription today and this song, various versions of it, has been in my head all day. And I only just now learned it was written by Buffy Sainte-Marie, an artist I know next to nothing about and will be correcting soon.

Yeah, I kinda feel like I've committed a crime in not exploring her catalog now, so I'm going in. In the meantime, this other, much more recent, but related song (and not just in theme) comes to mind too. It was the song that actually got me excited about Hozier before "Take Me To Church."
